Jesus purchased our redemption and has given us a receipt, not an invoice. If we had received an invoice we would have to pay. Instead, He gave us a receipt for all He purchased for us. The only thing left to do is inventory what is ours.
Eph 1:7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. NLT
People insulted Jesus but He never insulted them in return nor did He carry a grudge. A grudge imprisons you to the offender and you become the hostage. Why give somebody that kind of control over your life? What’s important is what happens in you, not to you. So forgive, forget and move on.
1 Peter 2:23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. NLT
Each of us is living in a particular season of our life. We have left a season and we know a new season lies ahead. To succeed in life and ministry you must recognize what season you are in and stop trying to live in the past or the future. We must make everything we do count for the moment.
Isa 50:4 The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. KJV
Leaders don’t change people. They can coach, counsel, teach, and guide, but no one changes another person. Change only comes from the inside, as a result of decisions made by the individual.
And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Mat 18:2-3 NIV
Has God ever failed you? No, and He will never do so. Distraction comes when we try to figure everything out instead of trusting in our Lord, His character, His nature, His ability and His Word. Be at peace! He is Jehovah Jireh, “The Lord will provide.”
Prov 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. NLT
History is history; you can’t go back and change the past. Besides, God has more in store for you; your future is ahead and not behind. So, let the past be the past at last and move forward allowing the Holy Spirit to lead.
Prov 24:14 In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short. NLT
